Camp Linville Ridge is available to all Club members’ children, grandchildren and guests.  This day camp is for children ages 5 -15. Open Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm for five weeks beginning on June 19, 2017.

Let’s Be Friends
Week 1 – June 19-23, 2017
A week focused on getting to know each other, creating memories as a group, learning teamwork and bonding through outdoor activities, learning ways to respect the environment and our “nature friends” 

Field Trip: Grandfather Mountain – nature education, teamwork to finish scavenger hunts and encouraging each other to have the bravery to cross the mile-high bridge as a team 

Red, White and Blue
Week 2 – June 26-30, 2017
A week focused on American traditions from learning old timey songs and historic tales, the history of America’s beginning of how adventurers became American heroes, the teamwork it takes to create American culture, understanding the celebration of July 4th and why we love the Red, White, and Blue 

Field Trip: High Gravity Adventures – Kids will get the chance to be brave by experiencing new challenges as one would have during exploration of the American wilderness, and how working together as a team ends in higher success than individually 

Water Fun
Week 3 – July 4-7, 2017
A week focused on what water is, how it affects our lives, the exciting ways we can manipulate it, and how it forms our astounding environment in the mountains, kids will complete team projects to see the science and amazing uses for water, as well as engage in group challenges at the Belvedere pool 

Field Trip:  Holston Camp – Kids will see the amazing effect the New River has had on the Appalachian Mountains while understanding the wildlife, sporting, and serenity of spending a day on the river away from technology 

Week 4 – July 10-14, 2017
This week focuses on how different each of our minds are, and the way we can create something out of nothing by using our imaginations to bring ideas to life, kids will encourage each other to create new games, songs, art, and ways to include friends into your interests.

Field Trip: Sugar Creek Gem Mine & Michaels Craft Store – kids will dig for gems and see how the mountains create beautiful gems out of simple rocks throughout time, then to Michaels Craft Store to get materials to create a collage of the week to present to friends and family 

Sports & Fitness
Week 5 – July 17-21, 2017
This week the kids will learn the ins and outs of Golf, Tennis, Swimming, Bocce Ball, Pickle Ball, Croquet and team games. We will be visiting all sports facilities on property and learn how the basics of teamwork and single sport goals.

 Field Trip: Magic Mountain Mini Golf/Arcade and Fun & Wheels – We will spend the day playing mini golf, arcade games, completing a scavenger hunt in teams, then move on to bumper cars and track driving.
